Then and Now: Estimated Cost of Braley’s Healthcare Takeover Continues to Rise, Along With Cuts to Medicare
WASHINGTON — Nancy Pelosi famously said that seniors and families wouldn’t know what was in Bruce Braley’s big-government takeover of healthcare until Washington Democrats passed it. Now that Democrats have paid dearly to keep ObamaCare the law of the land, the new cost and cut estimates are making one thing crystal clear: Braley’s healthcare overhaul is draining families’ pocketbooks and gutting seniors’ Medicare.
“Bruce Braley stole from seniors’ Medicare benefits to pay for his government takeover of healthcare,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “His addiction to government spending sprees has crossed the line by threatening seniors’ access to healthcare, and Iowans will stop his reckless behavior this November.”
