Biden Admits Middle Class Has ‘Been Buried the Last Four Years’ Under Rahall’s Policies

West Virginia Democrat Watches His Big-Government Policies Make a Bad Economy Worse as He Refuses to #Stopthetaxhike

WASHINGTON — Nick Rahall and his party in the House will have to face the music after Vice President Joe Biden admitted at a campaign rally yesterday that the middle class has ‘been buried the last four years.’ Thanks to Rahall’s efforts to crush small business owners and families with more taxes, the West Virginia economy  continues to be plagued with anemic economic growth and a bleak outlook for the future (Roll Call #8, 8/1/2012).

“The cat’s out of the bag now that even the vice president conceded that his party’s own policies have buried the middle class,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Biden’s right, and now is no time for Washington Democrats like Nick Rahall to pursue job-killing tax hikes for West Virginia families and job creators.”

Thanks to Nick Rahall’s vote, the average West Virginia families’ tax increase will be $1,929 in 2013. (“The Effects of Taxmadeggon,” The Heritage Foundation, 6/2012)

Vice President Biden said that the middle class has been ‘buried’ during Obama’s tenure:

“’This is deadly earnest. How they can justify … raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried the last four years?’ [said Biden].” (Patricia Zengerle, “Biden: U.S. Middle Class ‘Buried the Last Four Years,’” Reuters, 10/2/2012)
