The Obama-McIntyre Idea of “Nation-Building At Home” Has Been to Create Jobs in China

North Carolina Democrat’s Nearly $1 Trillion Stimulus Sent Taxpayer Dollars to China

WASHINGTON — Thanks to Mike McIntyre’s support for President Obama’s wasteful stimulus spending spree, China has seen new jobs and holds more of America’s debt while the economy continues to remain stagnant (Roll Call #70, 2/13/2009).  North Carolina families and small business owners have seen their taxes rise and their opportunities fall under the Obama-McIntyre tenure – is this what ‘nation-building at home’ looks like to Washington Democrats?

“Obama claims his taxing, spending and borrowing priorities have been to focus on ‘nation-building at home,’” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “However, does Mike McIntyre agree that creating jobs in China and letting China own more of our debt is nation building here at home? After four years of rising debt and the worst economic recovery in American history, McIntyre and Obama are not on the same page as North Carolina voters.”

During last night’s debate, President Obama repeatedly suggested he wanted to do ‘nation-building at home’ but the last four years have proven that his policies have only hurt economic recovery:

“’After a decade of war, I think we all recognize we have to do some nation-building at home,’ Obama said more than once.” (“Who won presidential debate? Both Obama and Romney, maybe,” Christian Science Monitor, 10/23/2012)

Democrats’ failed stimulus sent money to Chinese companies to create jobs overseas:

“…it is true that foreign-owned companies have received $2.4 billion in grants to build wind farms in the U.S. Choma gives this breakdown: …China, $2.6 million…” (Eugene Kiely, Lara Seligman, Lauren Hitt and Melissa Siegel, “Stimulus Jobs in China?,” FactCheck.org, 10/29/2010)

After Washington Democrats refuse to give up their reckless spending addiction, China owes $1.15 trillion in U.S. debt. (“Major Foreign Holders of Treasury Securities,” U.S. Department of the Treasury, 10/16/2012)
