So much for that attack ad…

October 25, 2012

On Tuesday, numerous news sources debunked the false claims in Democrats latest misleading ad attacking Chris Collins.

Now WGRZ has this stunning report that turns the claims of Hochul and her henchmen on their heads.

As the news story exposes, the man in the ad wasn’t even working at the plant when it was slated to close.

It’s important to note that Boyce had left Buffalo China as a result of an injury about six months before the plant was shut down in March of 2004. (Buffalo News, 10/24/2012)

Scott Brown: “Buffalo China in late 2003 announced publicly that they were going to close the plant do you remember that?”

Tom Boyce: “No, I was not at work during the course of that time, and when I went back to work it was after the transition (to Niagara Ceramics) and I was not there for that, no.”

Then, the story showed that in fact, just the opposite of the Democrats’ claims were true:

Scott Brown: “As to this whole notion from the Hochul campaign that Collins came in and laid off 100 or so workers?”

Bob Lupica, Niagara Ceramics: “I can honestly and truthfully tell you that if it wasn’t for Chris, we wouldn’t have the workers that we have today. And I can tell you that Chris never laid off any of those workers, those workers were laid off by Buffalo China and Oneida Limited.”

As you cover the continuing scandal, consider the following quote:

NRCC Comment: “Shame on Kathy Hochul – first Hochul lost her credibility with false attacks, now her surrogates’ claims are being disproven too. Hochul’s dishonesty knows no bounds.” – NRCC spokesman Nat Sillin

REMEMBER:

BUFFALO NEWS:  “The claims in the ads are mostly false… what Boyce does not mention is that, by his own choice, he left the company months before Collins was ever involved in the plant.”

WGRZ: “This claim is false.”

WHAM 13:  The real truth – Collins purchased the Buffalo China building and hired 240 workers including former pink-slipped Buffalo China workers.”
