Politico’s Ben White: Trillion-Dollar Coin Would Make U.S. “A Laughingstock” | January 10th, 2013

President Obama is getting roundly criticized after refusing to rule out liberals’ idea to mint a trillion-dollar coin.

At yesterday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked five separate times to dismiss the plan. Yet each time, he refused to say “no.”

On MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown today, Politico’s Ben White called the plan a “disaster” and said it would make the U.S. “a laughingstock.”

Both White and NBC News White House Correspondent Chuck Todd expressed shock that the White House didn’t dismiss it.

It’s time to tell President Obama and his liberal allies that our country has a spending problem and the solution is not a trillion-dollar coin. Sign the petition here: www.nrcc.org/spending.
