NRCC Ad Campaign Highlights Rahall’s Sequester Support

February 25, 2013

President Obama’s Sequester is just days away and it will gut approximately $9.4 million from West Virginia’s teachers and schools, it will result in approximately 2,000 defense workers being furloughed, and U.S. Army base operations West Virginia will be slashed by $1.4 million.

Nick Rahall had a chance to stop these devastating cuts – twice. Both times he voted no, choosing Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi over West Virginian families.

Rahall’s complete failure of leadership is highlighted in the NRCC’s new paid advertisement, which has over 40,000 views since last night!

In your coverage of the coming Sequester and Nick Rahall’s role, please consider the following quote:

“With just a few days until President Obama’s devastating Sequester hits hard-working West Virginians, Nick Rahall continues to put partisan politics over the people that he serves. No matter how Rahall tries to spin his record on Obama’s Sequester, when it came time to vote for West Virginia’s teachers, children, and defense workers, Nick Rahall voted no. Twice.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
