As ObamaCare’s Botched Rollout Continues, House Dems Are Nervous & Ready To Jump Ship In 2014

May 1, 2013

Over the last few months, the implementation of ObamaCare has laid bare the disastrous consequences of the law. From rising premiums, working losing their coverage, and discouraging hiring, we finally know what’s in the law and we don’t like it. That’s probably why a new poll showed that only 35 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of it.

On top of all that, yesterday, President Obama took a painfully awkward eight minutes to defend his signature government boondoggle.

Well, today The Hill is reporting that Democrats are increasingly nervous about Obamacare and how it will affect their chances.

“Anxious Democrats fear a botched implementation of ObamaCare could dash their hopes of controlling the House and Senate for President Obama’s last two years in office.

‘At his press conference Tuesday, Obama acknowledged “glitches and bumps” in the law’s rollout, but some congressional Democrats fear much worse.”

Some Democrats have already made their worries vocal, Montana Senator Max Baucus—and Obamacare architect—famously called the healthcare law a “train wreck.” Another architect, West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller said it was “beyond comprehension.”

Other Democrats have conceded that the law won’t lower healthcare costs—breaking a main promise of they made while selling the law to the public. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and California Congresswoman Jackie Speier recently admitted that.

It’s funny how history tends to repeat itself. You’ll recall that in 2010, Republicans rode a wave of Obamacare opposition to fire Nancy Pelosi and elect a majority of common-sense conservatives to the House.

While we still have the majority, we’re not done yet. Though House Dems may be nervous and Obamacare may be faltering, President Obama has made retaking the House his number one priority. He wants nothing more than to return Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, so he can have complete control of Washington.

Stand with the NRCC today. We simply cannot go back to the day of reckless spending and bureaucratic boondoggles. We need to grow our majority and ensure that Pelosi is never Speaker again.
