New Poll: Americans Support Keystone Pipeline By Wide Margin

July 17, 2013

Just yesterday, we talked about President Obama’s failure on energy and how it related to a AAA official saying $3 gas was “a thing of the past.”

Well, today there’s even more incentive for President Obama to open up our country’s rich energy resources.

A new poll from United Technologies/National Journal shows a vast majority of Americans support building the Keystone XL pipeline.

It “finds that more than two-thirds of respondents, 67 percent, support building the pipeline to carry Canadian oil to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast; that includes 56 percent of Democrats. Less than a quarter of Americans, 24 percent, oppose the project…”

Despite this breadth of support from across the political spectrum, President Obama has been dragging his feet on a decision and even holding fundraisers at the home of a noted anti-Keystone activist.

Enough is enough, President Obama. The Keystone Pipeline will create jobs and get our country on a path to North American energy independence. Approve the pipeline.
