Thanks to Kirkpatrick, Congress Gets Special Treatment, Arizona Families Get Higher Healthcare Premiums

The National Republican Congressional Committee released a paid radio ad today highlighting Ann Kirkpatrick’s vote to shut down the government in order to protect Congress’ taxpayer-funded healthcare. Kirkpatrick has proven time and time again that she is part of the problem in Washington.

“Ann Kirkpatrick is so out-of-touch with Arizona families she voted to shut down the government in order to protect her taxpayer-funded benefits,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “While Arizona families are struggling to afford quality healthcare, Kirkpatrick is making sure taxpayers are funding her Cadillac coverage.”

Script For The Radio Ad:

“How out-of-touch is Ann Kirkpatrick with Arizona families? So out-of-touch that she voted to shut down the government in order to protect Congress’ taxpayer funded healthcare!

While Washington forces ObamaCare on Arizona families, Kirkpatrick votes to give herself a break.

Instead of living by the same rules as everyone else, members of Congress receive special subsidies to pay for their healthcare.

And what are Arizona families left with? Higher premiums, higher healthcare costs and less access to quality care.

Washington is broken and it’s clear Kirkpatrick is part of the problem.

Call Ann Kirkpatrick today and tell her it’s time to put Arizona families first and stop the sweetheart deals for Congress.

The Bill Would Cancel Insurance Subsidies For Members Of Congress And Staff. “With just hours to go until the government shuts down, House Republicans will try to pass a bill that would delay the mandate that individuals buy health insurance and would cancel health-insurance subsidies for members of Congress and staff, the president and administration appointees, according to multiple sources.” (Jake Sherman and John Bresnahan, “Government Shutdown: House GOP To Delay Individual Mandate,” Politico, 9/30/13)
