Letter from 150+ Business Leaders Urges Obama to Approve Keystone Pipeline

October 10, 2013

A letter sent yesterday to President Obama and signed by more than 150 national business leaders urges the White House to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline, writing that approval would “send a powerful signal of this Administration’s commitment to getting America back to work.”

“We are at an inflection point in our economic recovery,” the letter reads. “Whether economic growth will remain modest or pick up speed will depend on maintaining investor confidence and strengthening America’s competitiveness. The decision on Keystone XL will affect both.”

While the House GOP – and even some Democrats – have repeatedly pushed the White House to approve this common-sense project that would create tens of thousands of jobs and reduce America’s reliance on foreign oil, President Obama continues to cater to his left-wing environmentalist allies – at the expense of real economic growth – by stalling the project and dragging his feet.
