Chairman Walden’s Statement on Congressman Dave Camp’s Retirement Announcement

March 31, 2014

WASHINGTON – National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden released the following statement today on Rep. Dave Camp’s retirement announcement:

“Dave Camp is a role model to us all and will be missed. For years, as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Dave has fought tooth and nail for the fiscal reforms our country needs. Even while fighting for those reforms in Washington, he never forgot the folks back home in Midland. It simply won’t be the same around here without Dave’s leadership.

“Dave is a committed family man and, though I’m sad to see him leave, I’m comforted to know he’ll be spending more time with Nancy and the kids. I look forward to electing and working with another Republican leader from this district.”
