Did Sean Eldridge Send Out a Belated April Fool’s Day Fundraising Pitch?

Did you see Sean Eldridge’s latest fundraising email . He makes the absolutely ridiculous claim that he was able to reach his fundraising goal because of the “generosity” of his grassroots support. Does anyone actually believe that? Was he just late sending out a belated April Fool’s Day gag?

Because Sean Eldridge’s campaign is absolutely NOT funded by grassroots supporters. In fact, Eldridge took 6% of his donations from NY-19 residents last quarter. Yes, you read that right – 6%!

Of course, that number obviously goes up if he we count the $250,000 check Eldridge wrote to his own campaign – that is, unless he wrote the check from his Soho loft or his Garrison Mansion.

NRCC Comment: “Sean Eldridge isn’t fooling anyone with this phony act he is putting on for voters in the 19th District. His campaign is not funded by everyday folks in the Hudson Valley, but by a combination of his own significant wealth along with contributions from the likes of Nancy Pelosi and liberal billionaires like George Soros and Tom Steyer.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
