Democracy Corps: Majority Disapprove of the President’s Job Performance

Recent polling data from the Democratic-leaning Democracy Corps’ Congressional Battleground Survey takes measure of the political landscape in competitive House races.

 The poll shows incumbent Republican Members of Congress with a solid +9% job approval among likely voters.

 Conversely, President Obama’s job approval is a net –12% in those same Republican districts, with 45% indicating they strongly disapprove of the President’s performance.

 The Battleground poll shows more good news for House Republicans as they lead by 5% on the generic congressional ballot across competitive races, 47%-42%.
