Garcia Opposes Forming Select Committee To Search For Answers

WASHINGTON – Today, Joe Garcia voted against a commonsense bill that would form a Select House Committee to investigate the attack on our diplomatic compound in Benghazi. It’s been almost two years since this attack that left four Americans dead and no one has been held accountable. And from the start, the Obama Administration has tried to hide the truth and obscure the facts from the American people.

With today’s vote, Joe Garcia is merely abetting the cover-up. It’s beyond shameful that he refuses to search for answers to ensure this never happens again. He is willing to let American lives stay at risk to protect his standing with President Obama and national Democrats.

“It’s inconceivable that Joe Garcia would oppose investigating why four Americans were killed in Benghazi,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “It’s been almost two years since the terrorist attack and because of Garcia and his allies in the Obama Administration, we are no closer to finding answers.”
