After Playing by the Rules, PA Family Physician Fined by ObamaCare

June 26, 2014

After making every effort to comply with ObamaCare’s difficult regulations, Dr. Francis Brescia, Jr., Pennsylvania family physician, is being fined thousands of dollars because of the way he keeps his patients’ medical records.

Under Obamacare’s guidelines, doctors must keep electronic medical records for all of their patients. To fulfill these difficult rules, Dr. Brescia hired an outside company to keep his electronic medical records. Unfortunately, that company went bankrupt, leaving Dr. Brescia to be fined $18,000 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

This is another example of how Obamacare is causing more issues and headaches for small business owners across the country. Small practices, like Dr. Brescia’s, just can’t keep up with the limitless set of rules ObamaCare has placed, putting Brescia and other small practice doctors at an incredible disadvantage.
