$ean Eldridge Trails in Own Poll by 35 points?

Early last week the Progressive blog Down with Tyranny correctly reported that $ean Eldridge fired his campaign manager. Late last week, as everyone checked out of politics to celebrate the 4th of July, Down with Tyranny reported something else –Eldridge’s internal poll showed him trailing Congressman Chris Gibson 60% to 25%. Check out the report here.

Apparently this was quite shocking to $ean, who thought that spending $884,469 on his campaign to date would put him in a better place than a 35 point deficit with four months until election day. And according to the report, THIS is why $ean fired his campaign manager.

What is truly amazing is that Eldridge fired a campaign operative because (run-on sentence alert) said operative could not hide the fact that Eldridge was trying to buy a seat in Congress, has absolutely no real world experience, invests in the same companies and industries he rips on the campaign trail, treats the media like garbage, supports Obamacare, opposes the Farm Bill, and wants taxpayers to foot the bill for political campaigns. Oh, and he’s not opposed to transitioning from Obamacare to a Canadian-style healthcare system where everyone gets insurance from the government.

Good luck finding the new campaign manager to cover up those blemishes.

NRCC Comment: “Sean Eldridge is not going to be a Congressman, but by November 4th he should be able to write the authoritative book on being the most out-of-touch candidate to ever run for Congress. After repeatedly ignoring the media, refusing to answer questions about the stunning hypocrisy of his multimillion dollar investment portfolio, and putting voters off by using his dark money group to try and buy an election, the only thing Eldridge is going to gain on Election Day is some much needed humility.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
