This Democrat Says Medicare Cuts Are “Working”

While Woolf continues to film his movie about running for Congress in the North Country, he said something very telling – that Obamacare’s Medicare cuts are working.

Here is what Woolf said: “[E]fforts within the traditional Medicare program to reduce the growth in health care spending are working.”

So what are those efforts to reduce growth? Well, they come from the $716 billion in cuts to Medicare. Now, Woolf likes to call those “savings” and “reductions in growth” but let’s look at how that growth is reduced:

-Cuts in Medicare Advantage, to the tune of $156 billion. In NY-21 that amounts to $1300 per senior. This will result in many seniors on Medicare Advantage losing access to their doctors as well as significant changes to their current plans.

Cuts in payments to home health providers, affecting over 3.5 million seniors and reducing access to home health care.

So we have to assume that, if Aaron Woolf thinks that these things are “working,” that he supports them.

NRCC Comment: “Manhattan multimillionaire Aaron Woolf should take a break from filming his movie about running for Congress and actually read about the Medicare cuts that he supports. If he does, he will find out that these cuts amount to over $1300 per senior in the North Country and greatly reduces seniors’ access to their preferred doctors and home health care.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
