Aaron Woolf Is Now A “Press Secretary Kind Of Guy”

Woolf Go to

When Manhattan multimillionaire and policy lightweight Aaron Woolf first announced he was running for Congress, he avoided the press for weeks and then infamously explained that he was “a press release kind of guy.”

Well, it seems that Woolf has now advanced to a “press secretary kind of guy.”

Yesterday the Glens Falls Post Star ran a story about where the three NY-21 candidates stood on transportation issues. Elise Stefanik participated in the interview. Matt Funiciello participated in the interview. Aaron Woolf? Well, here is what the Post Star said:

“Woolf did not return repeated requests over an eight-day period to comment for this report. Campaign spokesman Yianni Varonis said Woolf was busy campaigning, and would discuss transportation issues at a transportation forum the campaign is planning later in the fall. Varonis said Woolf would not discuss transportation issues with a Post-Star reporter when Woolf campaigned in South Glens Falls on Aug. 28, because Woolf was not accompanied by a press spokesman.”

Busy campaigning? Couldn’t answer questions because he was not accompanied by a press spokesman? Is this guy serious?!

But maybe this shouldn’t be a surprise – after all, last week Woolf wouldn’t say whether he would have voted for Obamacare and when the questions got too tough, he let Paul Tonko carry his water.

NRCC Comment: “Manhattan multimillionaire Aaron Woolf has been running for Congress since February and his only significant policy suggestions are raising food prices and cutting Social Security for current seniors by 23%. The fact is, Woolf is a policy lightweight who doesn’t have the first clue about what is important to North Country families and he would be an embarrassment in Congress.”– NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
