This Democrat Wants to Fix Obamacare – By Leaving It Exactly The Same

Woolf Go to

Now I understand why Manhattan multimillionaire Aaron Woolf’s handlers won’t let him answer policy questions – because he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. As the Watertown Daily Times reported, Woolf had a press conference where he indicated that he would change Obamacare’s employer mandate. Here is what he said:

“I think we can begin by easing some of the burden on small businesses with the employer mandate,” Mr. Woolf said. “I think we can include businesses that have up to 50 employees instead of just 25, I think we can provide tax breaks that will help particularly small businesses to adapt to the legislation. I think those are important steps we can take.”

Here is the problem with that response – the employer mandate applies to businesses with 50 or more employees, not 25 or more employees. So Woolf’s big change to Obamacare is . . . not a change at all. Worse, it shows that he still hasn’t done his homework on federal issues. How can North Country families trust Woolf to stand up for them in Washington when he doesn’t understand the issues?

NRCC Comment: “Manhattan multimillionaire Aaron Woolf continues to embarrass himself on the campaign trail – this time by not knowing how many employees a small business must have in order to be affected by Obamacare. It’s becoming crystal clear that Woolf is not doing his homework on federal issues and is trying to get elected by relying solely on the generic drivel fed to him by Nancy Pelosi’s campaign team.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
