The National Republican Congressional Committee hit the airwaves today with a new TV ad (“Proud”) hitting corrupt Congressman Tim Bishop for his shady shakedown of a constituent that has resulted in an FBI and House Ethics investigation.

NRCC Statement: “Congressman Tim Bishop proudly called himself the ‘Mailman’ while shaking down a constituent for $10,000. Now that his corrupt behavior has resulted in an FBI and House Ethics investigation, Bishop can expect Long Island voters to deliver him an early retirement on November 4.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior

Transcript:

The FBI’s investigating criminal probes into Bishop’s shakedown scheme.

After helping a constituent obtain government permits, Bishop pressed him for 10 grand.
