Today’s Vote Cements Another Of Ann Kirkpatrick’s Broken Promises

WASHINGTON – It was a common refrain. Practically anytime a Democrat attempted to sell ObamaCare to voters, they told them if they liked their plan, they could keep it. Now, with ObamaCare implemented, the truth is laid bare for all to see and these Democrats have nowhere to hide.

What’s inexplicable is that today Ann Kirkpatrick had a chance to right this wrong and she blatantly snubbed her nose at it. Today, Kirkpatrick voted against a commonsense plan to ensure Americans can keep their healthcare plans and—in spite of Democrats—their promise is actually kept. It’s this type of reckless partisanship and rampant doubletalk that have caused Arizona voters to sour on Washington.

“Ann Kirkpatrick’s time in Congress is nothing more than a litany of broken promises and unabashed partisanship,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Lucky for Arizona, if you don’t like Ann Kirkpatrick, you don’t have to keep her.”

FYI, a similar version of this release below went out to the following districts: Raul Ruiz (CA-36), Elizabeth Esty (CT-05), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fl-23), Rick Nolan (MN-08), Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01), Tim Bishop (NY-01), Steve Israel (NY-03) and Suzan DelBene (WA-01).

Readers in a separate online poll overwhelmingly agreed with the choice.” (Angie Holan, “Lie Of The Year: ‘If You Like Your Health Care Plan, You Can Keep It’,” PolitiFact, 12/12/13)
