Democrats’ War on Energy

Scott Peters Turns Off the Lights on Energy Independence

WASHINGTON – Today, Scott Peters voted against a commonsense energy package that will help establish energy independence and lower energy costs for California families.

For too long, Peters has rubber-stamped President Obama’s agenda against American energy independence. It’s about time the people of California—and people across the country—paid less. It’s just another sorry instance where Scott Peters has put partisan politics ahead of doing what’s right.

“Today, the House took a major step in advancing American energy independence,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Instead of doing the right thing, Peters attempted to keep his special interest friends happy by making California families pay more.”
