Tim Bishop Votes with Pelosi and Obama, Not New York

Democrats Fail to Fight for Small Businesses and Create Jobs

WASHINGTON – Today, the House voted on a package of commonsense bills that would address the number one issue in this election: job creation. This legislation will free small businesses from burdensome Washington regulations, enable small businesses across the country to hire and allow workers to gain more take-home pay.

Typically, Tim Bishop would rather follow President Obama and Nancy Pelosi than do what’s right. On the heels of another disappointing jobs report, New York is looking for relief as Bishop just can’t be trusted to restore economic security.

“Tim Bishop can’t even be counted on to support a bill that would create good-paying jobs in New York,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “He is just so out of touch. The only person Bishop stands up for in Washington is President Obama.”

FYI, a similar version of this release below went out to the following districts: Elizabeth Esty (CT-05), Bill Foster (IL-11), Steve Israel (NY-03) and Suzan DelBene (WA-01).
