October 14, 2014

Good morning,

The NRCC released a new TV ad today that includes testimonials from Minnesotans on Collin Peterson’s lavish congressional perks.

NRCC Comment: “Over his 23-year career in Washington, Collin Peterson has lost touch with the Minnesota families he was elected to represent. Peterson’s reckless use of taxpayer dollars to pay for his travel and private plane should shock every voter in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District.”– Tyler Q. Houlton, NRCC Spokesman

Transcript:

ANNCR: Collin Peterson has charged taxpayers over $600,000 for travel.

WOMAN: Two leased cars?

MAN: I knew he had a private plane, I didn’t know that it was $200,000 dollars.

MAN: That’s kind of a perk, none the rest of us could expect.

MAN: It seems excessive.

WOMAN: It’s just unnecessary spending.

MAN: That’s out of line.

MAN: For Collin Peterson to be spending our taxpayer money like there’s no end in sight, I think it’s irresponsible.

MAN: What he does is not in the best interest of Minnesotans.

WOMAN: I think it’s time for a change.

ANNCR: The National Republican Congressional Committee is responsible for the content of this advertising.
