Speaking of pledges, Lon Johnson just broke his
So how about this Lon Johnson fella? He’s been rambling on and on about pledges to distract from his cringeworthy support of Barack Obama. We get why Johnson wouldn’t want to talk about his support of the President, but since he wants to talk about broken pledges, let’s dance.
From the February 23, 2015 edition of Inside Michigan Politics when Johnson was asked about running for Congress:
“I’m happy being chairman and I’m running for re-election and will serve the two years.”

“Lon Johnson announced his resignation as Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party effective July 11. Johnson is departing the post to compete in the race for Michigan’s 1st Congressional District.”
