Is Mike Derrick the next Aaron Woolf in NY-21?
Mike Derrick just can’t help himself. Just days after admitting to NCPR that he has no idea how he’s different than Elise Stefanik or what he would do for the people of NY-21, he did admit one thing to the Glens Falls Post-Star that he knows for sure: Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are the best party to serve the North Country. (Because what else would you expect a candidate recruited by the DCCC say?)
Let’s just ignore the absurdity of Derrick’s claim that the liberal House Democratic caucus knows what’s best for the rural North Country to ask a very simple question — If Derrick doesn’t even know what issues are important to NY-21, how does he know that Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are the best fit? It seems like Derrick is quickly establishing himself as “Aaron Woolf 2.0” – a candidate who has no idea why he is running for office other than to feed some sort of personal ambition.
