Ruh-roh! DCCC tries strong-arming local Pennsylvania Democrats (again)

July 27, 2015

ruh rohIt looks like there is trouble brewing in PA-08 regarding Democrat Steve Santarsiero’s candidacy for Congress due to his poor fundraising numbers.  According to PoliticsPA, “Democratic Party leaders in Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. are beginning a push to convince PA-8 candidate and State Rep. Steve Santarsiero to drop out of the race.”  The only problem with this meddling by the DCCC in local PA politics is that it goes against nearly 100 endorsements that Santarsiero already received from local Democratic officials and committees.

But hey, clearly the DCCC knows what they are doing.  It’s not like they have their smallest sized conference since the Great Depression. And certainly they have learned from their past mistakes from 2014 when they tried meddling in PA-08.  And of course they know that Southeast Pennsylvania loves it when outsiders from D.C. come in and tell them what to do.

You do you, DCCC.

NRCC Comment:  “It’s nice to see that the DCCC still can’t get out of their own way by meddling in PA-08 yet again.  We’re sure that 80-plus Democratic officials who have endorsed Steve Santarsiero are totally cool with D.C. Democrats coming to town to hand-pick their own candidate to try and advance Nancy Pelosi’s extreme agenda.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
