DNC Chair: Rick Nolan “quite vulnerable”

August 31, 2015

vulnerableEver gaffe-prone DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz strikes again, this time telling the audience at the DNC summer meeting in Minneapolis that Rick Nolan and the 8th District were “quite vulnerable” to a Republican takeover. While those of us at the NRCC certainly agree, it probably wasn’t what Nolan was hoping DWS would focus on.

Perhaps Nolan’s 1.4% victory in 2014 has Democrats hearing footsteps when they look ahead to next year. Nolan’s extreme positions on national security and veterans issues certainly don’t calm the nerves of Democrat operatives. However, even in the face of such vulnerabilities, Nolan shows no signs of backing away from his far-left rhetoric.

It’s clear that DWS said what many Democrats have privately been thinking: Rick Nolan is quite vulnerable.

“Rick Nolan might not have appreciated DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s gaffe when she described him as ‘quite vulnerable,’ but he can’t deny it’s truthfulness. Nolan’s dangerous positions on national security and veterans issues make him out of touch with his district and undeniably vulnerable in 2016.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
