Does Steve Santarsiero support Tom Wolf’s $2.7 billion in tax hikes?

February 9, 2016

According to the Associated Press, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf just unveiled a budget proposal that includes $2.7 billion in tax hikes.  It contains a retroactive income tax increase, an expanded sales tax and a new drilling tax.  What does State Representative and PA-08 congressional candidate Steve Santarsiero think of this?

Will Santarsiero support this disastrous tax plan proposed by the most liberal governor in the country?  We’re sure the voters in the Republican leaning 8th District of Pennsylvania are eager to know. Ditto for the liberal Democratic voters that Santarsiero will need to win his PA-08 primary against Shaughnessy Naughton.

Choose wisely, Steven.

NRCC Comment:  “Steve Santarsiero has a tough decision to make regarding the $2.7 billion in tax hikes that Governor Tom Wolf threw in the State Legislature’s lap today.  Will Santarsiero support this liberal tax plan in the State House to appeal to liberal primary voters or will he oppose the plan to appeal to general election voters?” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
