Should LuAnn Bennett lower the rent on her DC Ritz-Carlton condo?

February 9, 2016

When LuAnn Bennett decided she was going to go play politics in Virginia for 10 months by running for Congress, she listed her DC Ritz-Carlton condo online for rent at a whopping $7,500 per month.  It’s been over two months and it still hasn’t been rented out.

Is it time for Bennett to lower her asking price to something more reasonable?  Or maybe she asking for an absurd amount of money so she doesn’t actually have to move out.   The realtor who listed Bennett’s Ritz-Carlton condo is also a campaign donor (see page 35 of Bennett’s FEC report), so maybe she is just doing Bennett a favor by listing it online without actually intending to rent it out.

NRCC Comment:  “LuAnn Bennett’s DC Ritz-Carlton condo has been listed online for two months at $7,500 per month.  Is Bennett keeping the asking price this ridiculously high so she doesn’t actually have to move out of her lavish DC condo and into Virginia?” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
