Gretchen Driskell has no plan to address the national debt

May 24, 2016

If you were running for Congress in Michigan’s 7th District and it was a little over 5 months until Election Day, would you have a general idea on how to address the $19.2 trillion national debt?  Not if you are Gretchen Driskell, who was recently asked that very question.

“I think, umm, I haven’t really identified exactly where I, umm, would make cuts. I think that’s something or, umm,  enhance revenues. I think that’s something that we have to see what happens next year. Who’s in, who’s in office…I don’t have anything or a bill right now that I would put up right now.”

Ouch.

NRCC Comment: “Gretchen Driskell is running for federal office but has no idea what the federal government should do to address the national debt. Gretchen Driskell continues demonstrating that her run for Congress isn’t about making a difference for Michigan families, it is about fulfilling her blind political ambition.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
