Why The NRCC Is Thrilled to See Ruben Kihuen Speak At The DNC Today

July 28, 2016

NV-04 Hillary and Kihuen2Today, the NRCC is thrilled to see Ruben Kihuen take the stage at the DNC to make official his full embrace of Hillary Clinton, a terribly unpopular politician who is badly underwater in the district Kihuen hopes to represent in Congress. The latest polling shows Hillary with an astronomical 59% disapproval rating in NV-04, with just 38% of 4th District voters viewing her favorably.

Statewide, Hillary is also struggling. She trails on the ballot by 5 points in the latest KTNV/Rasmussen poll and is down 2 in the Real Clear Politics polling average.

Nationally, the more voters see Clinton, the less they like her. Her approval ratings have nosedived since announcing her campaign and a new CNN poll shows that 65% of Americans do not find Clinton to be honest or trustworthy.

This is the candidate Kihuen has happily hitched his wagon to. Smooth move, Ruben. Can’t wait to see you on that stage later.

NRCC Comment: “Hillary Clinton is not liked or trusted by voters across Nevada and the country, but Ruben Kihuen doesn’t care. Kihuen is a career politician who is more concerned with hobnobbing with Washington elites than listening to Nevada families. But no matter how hard he tries, Kihuen won’t be able to ignore 4th District voters on Election Day when they reject his blind partisanship and send Cresent Hardy back to Washington.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
