SUBJECT: WISCONSIN PRIMARY RESULTS

With the Wisconsin congressional primaries now settled, Democrats will be scrambling to substantiate their laughable claims that the House Majority is within reach. To make that argument have the slightest bit of credibility, it would mean they would have to win Wisconsin’s 8th District, which will be an uphill fight with their flawed Democratic candidate. Simply put, another lackluster Democratic candidate will handcuff the Democrats’ chances to make significant gains in the House this year.

WI-08: Mike Gallagher, R vs. Tom Nelson, D

Mike Gallagher is an American patriot who joined the United States Marine Corps on the day he graduated college. He went on to serve on active duty as a Human Intelligence/Counterintelligence Officer and Regional Affairs Officer for the Middle East and North Africa, earning the rank of Captain. Mike knows what it takes to keep our country safe and protect our way of life. In Congress, Mike will fight to restore our country’s economic strength at home and leadership abroad.

Democrats are left with a typical milquetoast candidate in Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson. Nelson will have to answer for his record of raising state taxes and fees by over $3 billion while serving in the state legislature. He also accepted a 5.3% pay raise in the very month that 60,500 Wisconsinites lost their jobs.

Overview: PVI: R+2; Obama 47.56 % – Romney 51.26%. Wisconsin’s 8th District is located in Northeast Wisconsin and includes the cities of Green Bay and Appleton. Both the Cook Political Report and the Rothenberg & Gonzales Political Report rate it as “Toss-up.”
