House Majority PAC recycles debunked attack on Mills

Nancy Pelosi’s super PAC, House Majority PAC, went on the air today with an attack ad, in an effort to distract from Rick Nolan’s extreme far-left record on national security. Their problem? With nothing new to attack Republican candidate Stewart Mills on, House Majority PAC opted instead to recycle an old DCCC lie about Mills’s stance on taxes that has already been thoroughly debunked by Minnesota Public Radio:

“After that, the DCCC gets its facts wrong. Mills said he opposed the Cash for Clunkers program, but that has nothing to do with opposing middle class tax cuts.

And while Mills has talked around the issue of tax reform, giving few details on what he would do, the DCCC makes some assumptions about how Mills would vote on tax cuts for the wealthy if he were elected to Congress.

For leaving out critical details, this ad is misleading at best.”

NRCC Comment: “Democrats are pressing the panic button in Minnesota’s 8th District, calling in Nancy Pelosi’s Super PAC to attempt to keep Rick Nolan’s campaign afloat by airing already debunked lies about Stewart Mills’s stance on taxes. Try as they might, misleading ads from Rick Nolan’s Super PAC allies won’t distract Minnesotans from Rick Nolan’s extreme record on national security that makes our country less safe.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
