Emilio Huerta Admits He Has No Plan To Address The Valley’s Water Crisis

October 24, 2016

huertaYou’d think a congressional candidate running to represent a Central Valley district would have a plan to tackle the historic drought that is ravaging California, right? Well, a real candidate would, but not Emilio Huerta. In a recent sit-down with the Los Angeles Times, “Huerta said he doesn’t have a plan for addressing the area’s water needs, yet.”

This sort of unimaginable negligence on THE key issue for 21st District residents is exactly why Nancy Pelosi and National Democrats have been forced to carry Huerta’s water (pun intended) in this race. Huerta, who was handpicked by Washington Democrats and opposed by local activists, has been an abysmal candidate and mostly avoided press events. And now we know why.

Luckily, Valley families already have a member of Congress in David Valadao who not only has a plan to address the drought, but has worked across the aisle to pass it through the House of Representatives.

NRCC Comment: “It is simply unacceptable that Emilio Huerta hopes to represent the Central Valley in Congress but doesn’t have a plan to tackle California’s water problems. Luckily, 21st District families already have a representative in David Valadao who not only has a plan to bring water to the Valley, but who has also worked across the aisle to pass it through the House of Representatives.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
