Randy Perkins attacks wounded veteran Brian Mast’s handicap accessible house

November 4, 2016

Randy Perkins is so sleazy that he’s now attacking wounded veteran Brian Mast for living in a “lavish” handicap accessible house. Think about that for a second – someone who made millions ripping off school districts as a natural disaster profiteer is attacking Mast – a wounded war veteran whose sacrifices earned him The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal – for living in a home to accommodate his injuries resulting from his sacrifices on the battlefield.

Here are some of the things in Mast’s home that Perkins is criticizing:

  • A front door with a flush threshold (no steps)
  • Lever door handles instead of knobs
  • Wider hallways
  • Wider doorways
  • Americans with Disabilities Act toilets (handicap height)
  • Flat tub deck
  • Handrails
  • Flush entry into bathroom

Maybe this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise since this is same Randy Perkins who took credit for funding Mast’s VA health care, questioned how Mast’s sacrifices on the battlefield made him qualified to serve in office, and told a double amputee to “be a man and stand.”

PS: Here’s a story on the $10 million, 11,200-square-foot oceanfront home that Perkins lives in in Delray Beach.

NRCC Comment: “It is absolutely disgusting that Randy Perkins would attack a double amputee war veteran for the cost of his handicap accessible home. Randy Perkins is a man without an ounce of integrity who is unfit to serve in office.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
