Just one day after Nancy Pelosi told candidates to do whatever they need to in order to win, Kathy Manning released an ad in which she vows to oppose Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.

Is this a joke?

Not only did Manning personally donate to Pelosi, but she’s given thousands to Democratic party leaders. Are NC voters seriously supposed to believe that Manning, a longtime Democratic donor, would vote for a Republican for Speaker over Nancy Pelosi?

Manning’s strategy to try to disavow Pelosi enough times that voters might start to believe her is disingenuous and absurd. She cannot run from her deep ties to the party.
