Catalina is a product of the American Dream. Born in the great state of Illinois, she grew up in Woodstock as the daughter of a Guatemalan immigrant mother and a Chicago-born business-owner and entrepreneur father.

Due to Guatemala’s political instability and civil war in 1980’s, Catalina’s mother fled her home country to the Land of Opportunity. Working multiple jobs and learning English at night, her mother ultimately became a legal and proud Citizen of the United States.

Together, her parents created the American Dream for Catalina and her older sister, Madeline. They instilled in their daughters the same values that brought them together –strong morals, personal responsibility and a love for the United States and freedom.

Following her graduation from Miami University of Ohio, she worked in the private sector in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. During these years she interacted with leaders in the private sector, start-up space, Fortune 500 companies, and the tech industry. She sharpened her business acumen and organizational understanding, traits desperately needed in Government.

In 2018, she was appointed to the Trump Administration as a Special Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce under Secretary Wilbur Ross. There she honed her leadership skills and gained a deeper understanding of the key economic issues facing our Nation. Working closely with the White House on the President’s America-First agenda, Catalina helped craft strategy for the Country’s growing minority entrepreneurs. Catalina and her sister, Madeline were featured on the opening night of the Republican National Convention in 2020 which featured their story and startup.

A Constitutional conservative, Catalina promises to uphold and fight for individual and economic freedom. Disappointed by leaders in Washington who no longer serve the interests of everyday Americans and the current progressive Democrat representing Illinois 11th District, she is driven to bring a new perspective to the Republican Party and Washington by accurately representing her District and its values. As a leader, she hopes to remind future generations of the blessings we are given as citizens of this great Country, and inspire them to fight to maintain the American character for generations to come.

Catalina Lauf is the individual best positioned to carry the torch, and will be a key figure in the next generation of American leadership. If elected, Catalina will be the youngest woman ever elected to U.S. Congress.
