“We The People”

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Today, we honor the guiding document of our country.

On September 17, 1787, delegates in Philadelphia signed the Constitution and the nation of laws we know today was born.

It is really something to know that a nation that has become the world’s superpower is based upon a document that takes only a few minutes to read.

Throughout the years it has certainly seen some changes, but the founding principles upon which the document was based still ring true today.

Let’s recommit ourselves to those founding principles today and do what we can to make our Union a little more “perfect.”
