NRCC Launches Ads on Blue Dog Democrats
New Radio Ads First Part of “Democrat Accountability Offensive”

Washington – The NRCC is announcing a new radio ad offensive aimed at holding so-called fiscal conservative Blue Dog Democrats in Congress accountable for supporting $787 billion in additional government spending at the behest of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  The radio ads will launch in 5 districts across the country and are the first part of a “Accountability Offensive” to confront Democrats for endorsing a reckless spending spree in Washington and authorizing over $1 trillion in new spending so far this year.

“The Blue Dog Democrats love preaching that they’re fiscal watchdogs when they’re at home, but they have done nothing but relent to Nancy Pelosi and give a blank-check to reckless spending in Washington,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “The result of this rubber-stamped, one-party rule is a mounting national debt that will end up costing future generations.”

The NRCC will launch the radio ads in the following districts:

Marion Berry (AR-01); Charlie Melancon (LA-03); Earl Pomeroy (ND-AL); Zack Space (OH-18); and John Tanner (TN-08).
