2009 GOP Senate-House Dinner Raises $14.45 Million

Washington – The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) announced today that the 2009 GOP Senate-House Dinner raised a combined total of approximately $14.45 million.

“Thanks to the generosity and dedication of my Republican colleagues, this year’s Senate-House Dinner raised $7.25 million in support of Republican Senate candidates nationwide. As we look forward to the 2010 election cycle, we understand what’s at stake and the principles that we are fighting for on behalf of voters across the country. By working together, the Republican Party will succeed in to restoring the checks and balances and the conservative leadership that we need in Washington. We are confident that we will have the resources that we need next year, in great part thanks to the generosity of our enthusiastic supporters across America,” said NRSC Chairman U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX).

“I commend my colleagues in the Republican conference for their collaborative efforts to garner $7.2 million of support from Americans across the country.  Tonight’s success is a testament to how well Republicans’ message of fiscal responsibility and smaller government is resonating.  Together, we are showing America that we are a unified party with the best solutions to create jobs and rebuild our economy. With this unified message and financial support, Republican Members and candidates throughout the country will stand together against Nancy Pelosi and her rubber-stamp Democrats to hold them accountable for their reckless borrow-and-spend habits,” said NRCC Chairman U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX).
