Rangel’s Found Money

About a year ago, we called for House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel to relinquish his gavel. New information now should increase the pressure on him to leave the post.
The man in charge of writing tax bills in the House should not be a tax cheat himself, we argued last August.
In a year-long fit of hypocrisy, Mr. Rangel has failed to take responsibility for his tax evasion and take his lumps via a reduction of power.
