NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions Statement on Jim Gerlach’s Re-Election Bid

Washington- National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) issued the following statement after Congressman Jim Gerlach (R-PA) announced that he will be running for re-election to the House of Representatives:

“Jim Gerlach’s decision to forgo his gubernatorial bid and stand for reelection in the House is one that I wholeheartedly support and welcome. Jim has built a strong record of fighting for jobs, lower taxes, and fiscal responsibility.  He is someone that Republicans need to help put a stop to the massive spending, taxing, and borrowing that is going on in Washington. Congressman Gerlach shares our goal of winning back the majority, and his decision to run for reelection is evidence of that. Not only has he been a fighter for his suburban Philadelphia district, but he has been a fighter on the campaign trail. Democrats in Washington are undoubtedly disappointed by this news.”
