Meehan Campaign Surpasses $1M

April 14, 2010

Republican Congressional candidate Pat Meehan has surpassed the $1.1 million fundraising mark in his campaign in the 7th Congressional District, placing him among the top open-seat candidates and challengers in the nation.

In the closing days of the first fundraising quarter, Meehan also picked up endorsements from a number of potential Republican 2012 presidential candidates, including Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

He also earned the endorsement of former Pennsylvania Republican Gov. Tom Ridge, who headlined a fundraiser for Meehan in March. Meehan raised more than $340,000 in the first three months of 2010 and has nearly $855,000 cash on hand.
