NRCC Launches New Website: Pelosi’s Puppets
Holding Ten of the Speaker’s Most Loyal Foot Soldiers Responsible for Pushing Nancy Pelosi’s Radical Agenda

Washington-
Today, The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) launched a new website, “Pelosi’s Puppets” (http://www.pelosispuppets.org/), targeting ten Democrats who have remained fiercely loyal to their puppet master House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her radical agenda. These ten freshmen and sophomore members have been instrumental in helping Pelosi and the Democrat leadership push their anti-business, anti-jobs agenda through Congress while piling unprecedented spending and debt onto the backs of American taxpayers. In return for their loyalty, Pelosi has generously lined their campaign coffers.

In an effort to hold these ten members accountable, the “Pelosi’s Puppets” website calls out each member for their voting percentage with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the ‘Yes’ votes that put their careers in jeopardy. The website also highlights the generous campaign donations Pelosi and her major donor network have given to each member in exchange for their unbridled loyalty.

“These ten ‘Pelosi Puppets’ have foolishly pushed the interests and values of their constituents aside in order to force House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s job-killing agenda through Congress against the will of the American people,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “As a result, middle-class families across the country are struggling to make ends meet as businesses are forced to lay off workers due to the out-of-touch Obama-Pelosi agenda. It’s time to hold these Pelosi puppets accountable for their role in promoting the Democrats’ unpopular anti-jobs policies that are doing nothing but making a bad economy even worse.”

With voter tension high and in an anti-incumbent environment, it is clear that Pelosi’s puppets have chosen to support her radical agenda over keeping their jobs:

“High levels of voter frustration could spell more trouble for incumbent Democrats than incumbent Republicans, according to a National Public Radio Battleground poll released Tuesday.”

“The survey, which polled the 60 most competitive Democratic-held congressional districts and the 10 most competitive Republican-held seats, found that just 34 percent of voters in competitive Democratic-controlled districts said they would reelect their incumbent member of Congress, while 46 percent said it’s time for someone new.” (Emily Schultheis, “Poll: More trouble for Democrats,” Politico, 6/16/2010)
