NRCC Announces Regional Chairs for 2012 Cycle
Washington—National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Deputy Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) today announced 12 Regional Chairs for the 2012 cycle, finalizing the NRCC leadership team with a roster of Members who bring a high level of experience and determination for electoral success.
Regional Chairs will play a vital role in helping the NRCC reach its goals, serving as liaisons to Members and candidates in their regions to communicate and implement a variety of initiatives. Comprised of both veteran and freshman Members of Congress, the Regional Chairs will be essential to helping ensure that Members and candidates can stay on offense to build winning campaigns.
“I am proud to announce 12 Members who will join the NRCC leadership team to strengthen and grow our Republican Majority within regions across the nation,” NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions said. “With the addition of four freshman Members, the new Regional Chair team will benefit from diverse experiences and skills to build even stronger support for our Republican conference. I commend these talented leaders for their commitment to our shared vision of staying on offense and selling the fight for more Republican victories in 2012.”
First established by Chairman Sessions in 2009, the NRCC Regional Chair team was directed by Deputy Chairman Walden last cycle. Walden successfully led 10 Regional Chairs to build unprecedented regional outreach and Member participation at the committee.
For the 2012 cycle, NRCC Regional Vice Chair Ed Royce (R-CA) will lead the following Members who will serve as Regional Chairs for 12 regions:

• Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD), Region 3: MT, ID, WY, UT, ND, SD, AK
• Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS), Region 4: MO, NE, KS, IA
• Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), Region 5: TX
• Rep. Candice Miller (R-MI), Region 6: MI, WI, IN, MN, IL
• Rep. John Fleming (R-LA), Region 7: OK, LA, AR
• Rep. Steve LaTourette (R-OH), Region 8: OH
• Rep. Geoff Davis (R-KY), Region 9: TN, SC, NC, KY, VA
• Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY), Region 10: NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME
• Rep. Bill Shuster (R-PA), Region 11: PA, WV, MD, DE
