Washington — Today the National Republican Congressional Committee announced the release of a new website www.HowCouldTierneyNotKnow.com questioning John Tierney’s involvement and knowledge of his family’s illegal Caribbean gambling operation. The website launch coincides with the federal sentencing of Tierney’s brother in-law Daniel Eremian having been convicted for his role in the family’s gambling empire. Not only did Tierney dine at the gambling headquarters in Antigua multiple times, his wife was convicted and sent to jail for actions tracing back to the multimillion dollar operation. How could Tierney claim ignorance for more than 15 years?
“The idea that John Tierney’s family could operate a massive illegal gambling empire without his knowledge is a contorted tale that stretches reality and common sense,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “On what planet does John Tierney think the voters of Massachusetts live on that they would believe that he was so utterly oblivious to the troubling ethical cloud that surrounds him? The question is not just what Tierney knew and when he knew, it’s ‘how he could he not know?'”
