Nick Rahall…running from Obama like Manchin
As is being widely reported today, Democrat Sen. Manchin is running away from President Obama about as fast as he can. Rightfully so. The Democrats’ big-government tax and spend agenda has been so resoundingly rejected by West Virginians, Manchin is trying to distance himself from his party leaders. Manchin even admitted as much saying, “I’m worried about me. I’ve said it’s not a team sport.”
Now, the real question is – Will Nick Rahall try the same trick?
Before Rahall tries to hide his record of supporting President Obama at every turn – including supporting the President’s anti-energy agenda that is putting West Virginia coal out of business – let’s remember just how Rahall has voted. From supporting EPA regulations that are putting West Virginia coal out of businesses, to supporting the President’s trillion dollar failed stimulus that wasted hundreds of millions in taxpayer giveaways to now bankrupt solar companies, Rahall has put Democrat special interest groups ahead of West Virginia.
