New NRCC TV Ad:  Hold It – Career Politician Mike McIntyre Voted Against Plan to Preserve Medicare

McIntyre Chose to Play Politics with Seniors’ Access to Care over Voting for Republican Plan to Protect Medicare

WASHINGTON – Today the National Republican Congressional Committee announced the release of an ad highlighting Mike McIntyre’s efforts to put 50 millions seniors in jeopardy of losing their Medicare benefits. On top of allowing the program to go bankrupt, McIntyre even voted against a plan to give prescription drug benefits to millions of seniors.

“Mike McIntyre hopes to distract from his plans to bankrupt Medicare instead of supporting a plan that strengthens Medicare,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “However, southeastern North Carolina seniors have watched him choose politics again and again as he champions President Obama’s threat to their access to Medicare.”

The script for this ad is as follows:

MOCK ANNOUNCER: David Rouzer’s Budget would “essentially end Medicare.”

ANNOUNCER: Hold it!

The truth? David Rouzer will preserve, protect and strengthen Medicare.

But career politician Mike McIntyre doesn’t want you to know that he voted against giving prescription drug benefits to millions of seniors.

And since Obama’s been president, McIntyre’s voted against every plan to save Medicare from going bankrupt.

Isn’t time Mike McIntyre puts seniors before politics?

You decide.
