With 23 Million Out of Work, It’s Time To End Democrats’ Stimulus Spending Spree And Focus On Growth

Washington — The national unemployment for the month of October was announced today at the unacceptably-high rate of 7.9 percent, confirming that four years of Democrats’ big-government expenditures are hindering job creation and strangling small businesses. Ohio families cannot afford to be buried any longer under staggering debt or constrained under the out-of-touch Obama-Sutton economic agenda.

“The price paid for four years of the Democrats’ failed policies is a sky-high unemployment rate and millions of Americans out of work,” said NRCC Communications director Paul Lindsay. “The only way to get this economy moving again is to end the Obama-Sutton big-government spending spree that has led to the worst economic recovery in American history.”

In October, the national unemployment rate remained unacceptably high at 7.9 percent. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Accessed 11/2/2012)

Democrats think big government spending is the answer – driving up the national debt to $5.5 trillion. (“The Daily History of the Debt Results,” Bureau of the Public Debt, Accessed 10/30/2012)

Despite this, President Obama says his second term plan will be similar to his first and he will continue to hinder job creation with new tax hikes on job creators:

“’Well, there’s no doubt that our first order of business is going to be to get our deficits and debt under control…But we are also going to need some revenue,’ [said Obama].” (Daniel Strauss, “Obama says ‘first order of business’ in second term would be deficit,” The Hill, 10/29/2012)
